Today’s supermarkets are promoting off more and more
their fruit and vegetable section.
The range of product on offer, the correct route through
the aisle and the illumination and presentation
of better quality products are key for success.
It has been shown that the decision to buy from one shop
instead of another is often based on the image, freshness
and price of the product. Dried out products cloud
the image of freshness and compromises good sales.

The
PERFECT UMI
system is controlled by a cycli-
cal timer which can be set at various intervals
(ideal emission: 4 seconds every 10/15 minutes).
The water requirement for the average cooler (40
nozzles) is 40/60 litres every 24 hours.
Electricity consumption is very low.
How it works
Water from the mains is filtered and flows into a pump module
which pressurizes the water to 20-60 bar pressure. The pressu-
rized water is channelled through stainless steel or polyamide
pipes (9-12mm) and flows out through special nozzles which ne-
bulize the water into particles of between 10-12 micro in size.
The very ne fog will form a thin layer of micro water over the
produce, and it will not pose any problems for the shopper who
nds himself under the fog effect. This feazing process will pro-
tect and rehydrate the fruit and vegetables, making them fresh
for longer and improving their appearance. The Perfect Umi sy-
stem is very adaptable and can be used for all types of exposition:
vertical stalls, horizontal stalls, aisles, etc.., and it can create in
the storehouse an environment of controlled humidity in a way
that is simple and cost effective. Product maintenance is much
simpler, allowing for considerably lower management costs.
